Sound of the Machine @ the Georgetown Steam Plant

Dropped down to Georgetown (Seattle) for the first time in a long time to check out Sound of the Machine at the Georgetown Steam Plant. I guess the place hadn’t been open for a while, but now there’s events and tours. This place was incredible, you could film an entire sci-fi movie in there! There was basically electronic music playing in two sections of the plant, with lighting by Mollie Bryant of Lusio fame. Outside were some food trucks and a beer garden, and even though it was sprinkling a bit, it didn’t keep people from hanging outdoors and having a good time (I had the Birria Quesadillas). Lots of great acts inside, like Seattle legends Raica (Chloe Harris) and Young Scientist (Marc Barreca and James Husted), and some new(ish)comers I haven’t heard before. The plant was four stories I think(?), so the reverb and frequencies were intense! Check out some pics!
